Nice Jeff,
If you're planning on picking locks you may want the skill "Sleight of Hand" as well.
Garth can play the lute and his background is as a traveling entertainer. There may be others who play musical instruments.
Sleight of hand may not actually help will lock picking.

Feolas has an interesting, mysterious backstory.
Perhaps his parents are agents of a higher enterprise that require them to often travel (or missions?), yet keep their son safe. Whatever their purpose (or mission) was, they made a great sacrifice for the sake of their son's safety while they ventured into peril.
